Welcome to The French Rooms in the heart of the Bushmills, home to the world’s oldest licensed distillery and the gateway to the Giant’s Causeway – an UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Our vision is for a pleasantly relaxed, informal and friendly licensed restaurant offering simple French inspired and elegantly presented dishes priced for regular visits and not just for special occasions.

The zinc topped tables and bar counter set the tone and then there’s hide away ‘snugs’ and a Petite Salon’ – ideal for afternoon tea in front of the cosy fire. For small parties the semi private area, affectionately known as the “Moulin Rouge”, is the perfect spot for parties for up to 10 people.

To complement MAISON, our highly acclaimed 5 Star self catering town house which opened in July 2017, we are converting the surplus storage areas overlooking the rear garden and some of our underutilised public areas into 6 bedroom suites. Planning approval has been granted, building works are well underway and we expect to have the individually decorated bedroom suites ready for Spring 2020.

The Visitor Information Centre is directly opposite the French Rooms and there’s an excellent public car park very close by, about 100 yards. The car park is also the Park & Ride to the Giant’s Causeway and here’s a tip – a little known fact but if visiting the Giant’s Causeway it’s better value to use the Park & Ride (operates March to October) than trying to park at the Causeway.

We hope you can pick up a flavour of the French Rooms from our web site and that we will have the pleasure of welcoming you to ‘the French Room’ someday soon.

A bientot.
